1. How long have you been with Groundwork Plus?
I had been watching Groundwork Plus grow and expand over the last few years with great interest and when I became aware of them requiring the services of someone who had my type of qualifications and experience, I couldn’t wait to apply for the role. I was so excited to be called in for an interview and the rest is history, as they say! I officially started at the end of April 2021.
2. What is your role at Groundwork Plus, and what does it entail?
As Operations and Safety Consultant my primary duty is to provide professional advice to the Mining and Quarrying industries. It entails having a thorough knowledge of legislative requirements, compliance, operations and how it all comes together to help a business function and remain safe and profitable.
3. What are your areas of particular interest or your proudest accomplishment?
I’m heavily involved in the local surf rescue club, so to be named as the most outstanding club member a couple of years ago had me quite chuffed.
4. What is your favourite way to spend a weekend?
Whisking my wife away on a motorbike ride visiting places we haven’t been before (although it doesn’t happen as much as we both would like) or taking our two girls all over the place to watch them play sport.
